... UK artists like Req, who have helped evolved gutsy graffiti lettering to remarkable images which contrast and compliment modern art. Or Nirmal Dhiman, for whom this art is an everyday mode of expression, illustrated in his daily visual diary.
Rahma Ali, BBC review of the Art of Hip-Hop Exhibition

Your work is very beautiful and i really liked your website.  I find your visual diary very inspiring.
Jessie, student, Minneapolis College of Art, USA

...insightful, beautiful, articulate and very original.
Pravesh Kumar, Artistic Director, Rifco Arts

I left your show believing you had shed a layer of complicated skin and found a true and wiser layer underneath. Its a privilege to witness a segment of a friends journey towards personal greatness. don't be afraid of honesty, you can add such colour to our lives.

...they just don't have your calibre of student anymore, they all just want to work, and nothing else.
Alan Young, reminiscing in conversation, 2006, University College for the Creative Arts

You have created an amazing history of the last 10 years, I am just amazed at the quality of the work you have been doing. A real artistic talent.

I saw them and immediately thought they were beautiful. Love the tiny detail and the way they draw the viewer towards them and discover more. they feel peaceful.

I liked your work, it's so beautiful.
Amol Pawar, Artist, India

Having built up a visual dialogue in relation to Nirmal Dhiman's work, Ive started to see the depth and intricacy. A reflection and personal language surrounds Nirmal Dhiman's life. The work looks like miniature reproductions of big (4m x 2m) paintings, they wouldnt look out of place next to Schnabel (?) Geometric Abstractionist paintings. A great mirror of East West synthesis and symbolisms coming to light as a life journey.

Nirmal Dhiman's commitment and integrity in regard of a visually recognised standard coming through it, a personal signature, individual and authentic. It takes time to realise and think about.
Kim Wan

A talented artist.
C. Emms, Sussex

Very interesting, really like the collages/painted diaries.
Laura

I had a closer look at your diaries at the Brighton Hip Hop Festival and felt somewhat tentative doing so. Looking at a diary of pictures is just as intimate as reading a diary of words.  It was a close feeling...
P, Uxbridge

Talented and creative
R. D. D.

Excellent illustrations, a great promise of ability...
Ruth Ganz, 1984, Langley Green Junior School, Crawley

Nice man.
Ryan Herrold, New York

I love doing a visual diary also, but yours is awesome. Seeing your work at the internet was inspired me that drawing should be without limitation.
Ken Ni Vitriandida, Indionesia

Love your work, especially all your visual journals. Want to see more pages though, they're so good. Anyway, next time you're down the shops, get us a packet of default, there's a good lad!

Philippa Vafadari , Band Bazi

The exhibition looks wonderful
Yasmin Gurreeboo, The West Wing

Most intriguing work - and an interesting process - you'll need a 1970 diary soon at this rate!
Paul, Brighton

Love the idea of a daily artistic ritual. Makes me want to ask lots of questions...like: Do you do them at the same time each day? Does it feel like writing a diary? Are they for you, or are you aware of a potential audience when you do them? They remind me that sometimes when you go to an art show, the sketchbooks are on show too...and for me they're always more exciting than the finished article...someting about the unedited, immediate nature of them...
Eleanor, York

I still have some of your drawings, maybe they'll be worth a fortune soon!!!
Celine Poncelet, Belgium

Really liked your work.
Christoper Beech , Photographer, Derbyshire

I have never before seen Punjabi style art approached in a modern, abstract way. Seeing your work has gotten me more interested in traditional Indian Punjabi art.
P.K. , East London

...for my AS art exam, i am making my own visual diary... ...any tips on how you created the effects would be fantastic!
Molly, AS-Level Art Student, via Google

Your work on the diaries is really individual and that's what makes it so interesting.
Elaine, Kent

I love doing a visual diary also, but yours is awesome.
Vitri, Jakarta

Your pics are class.
Ben, Corporation Records

I really like the way you incorporate poetry in your art. Maybe the poetry is art and the art, poetry?
Sonia, East London

Well Done
